Function：
In the inverter circuit, the main purpose is to smooth and filter the output voltage of the rectifier and store energy. It absorbs the high amplitude pulsating current from the inverter to the ‘DC-Link’, prevents it from generating high amplitude pulsating voltage on the impedance of the ‘DC-Link’, and keeps the voltage fluctuation on the DC bus within the permissible range. Voltage overshoot and transient overvoltage from the DC-Link are prevented from affecting the switching devices.
